GOOD OLD MEMORIES!!

My friend Megan had this on her blog, and I thought it would be fun to do. Don't be shy and play along!

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember (it can be about me or Brooks or both)!
--Remember parents, friends, grandparents, and siblings read this (so keep it G-rated!!).

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

I don't know why this small memory came to mind, but I'll always remember when you came to visit us in DC. You were absolutely exhausted from the long plane ride but you decided to stay up late with everyone to see all the sites. You made some comment about how you'd rather completely wear yourself out so you would sleep really good that night. I think about that a lot when I get tired and just remind myself that the harder I work, the better I sleep. (Of course this philosophy worked much better BEFORE I got a baby!) Cute blog post idea!

My memories of you are always our EFY memories. Remember Grant and Tyler and how crazy we were about them? Remember skipping class to take a nap and getting caught by Annie? We had so much fun . . .

Can I leave a Brooks memory? I just remember loving that his back yard was right next to b&w days, and we loved hanging out there! Thinking about it brings back lots of summer fun memories. You married a good guy! You guys make a darling couple too, and have such cute kids!

I remember you absolutely kicking my butt in our kickboxing classes. It hurt so bad the next day that it hurt to lay down. Don't get me wrong though... It was the best hurt ever!!! I have missed you all summer

I remember I thought you should be a model! And I always thought that it was cool that my grandma was a Benson and I was related (very distant) to Brooks, but I still felt cool to be related to him.
And I was so excited when I heard you two were getting married!

I remember the good ole days at Volleyball Camp! That is where I first met you and Melissa. I loved you guys, and was jealous at how tall you bother are. We had quite the time watching some girl named Sarah pick the zits on her back... do you remember that? I almost want to vomit thinking about it!

Sick. I want to vomit looking at ashley's memory too. She's so funny.

I remember when Brynne and I would "work out" at Sports Academy, Brooks would be there with some friend. I thought they were soooo cool.

I remember that night you met Brooks, (just fyi, I wasn't down with the whole shawn thing. not that he's not cool or anything. . .) I remember how HOT you are and always wanting to be you. I remember a bbq or something at your house. Do you remember the night Brady Wheeler, Devin, Derek, Ryan Maw, and those guys pranked us? We all threw eggs at them! And we drove up to Oakridge and threw eggs at Brady's apartment window. HA HA! Stacy was there too. Sooo funny!

Okay so I starting thinking of a few memories, then the flood gates opened. Just to name a few...milking your goat, trying to herd sheep back into their cages at your Dad's work, Mary Kay make-overs-bad lip liner, and screaming and shouting out your window when we found out your Mom was having Rachel. Good times, good times.

Remember the sdance that you, me, Stacey, and Becca made up to "Oops, I Did it Again"? We used to do it whenver we got together and would request the song at SocHops and perform it. We were so awesome! I remember going to Skyline every Thursday and being bummed out because you and Stacey got asked to dance every time while I warmed the bench. Remember the time at Logan Point that you peed your pants because we were laughing so hard?

Oh my heck Megan. I completely forgot about that and I don't know if we should be letting people know about that. It may not be our finest moment. :)

On of my memories is every one piling in my little piece of crap blue car and dragging main and losing boys on ditch hill or sitting on the bench at 4th north.

A memory I have with Brooks is when I won the tickets from 94.5 to the Nelly concert and my mom said we had to take a 'guy' for saftey reasons, so Stacey and I called you guys at the last minute to go with us. Remember how we were like the only full dressed people there? It was awesome!

A few funny memories of Brooks that popped in my head were: When we went to Yellowstone and him and Josh Wiser were mooning the rest of our family driving behind them; And, when he shaved his head for soccer, but left "wings" on both sides. I still have that picture of him:) This is a way fun idea Laura!

Ben did apply to the U but he hasn't heard from them. He didn't apply to BYU because we didn't think that we could handle Provo for 2 years. :) He has heard from just about every other school though. :) Good Luck & I will let you know if we hear anything.

Well.... we haven't made a final decision yet, but it looks like we are moving. We aren't sure to where yet, but we do have some options. We need to decide what is best for us and if I will be able to transfer with my job and stuff. It scares me to have to look for another job but it might be better for us.... ya know? I will keep you posted though

Ben and Natalie said...

Well, are you guys coming back or do you not know yet? You will have to keep us updated as well. :)

I really like this, its so funny. My first memory of you Laura, is the first time I met you, I stood behind the recliner at my mom's and drilled you with like a 100 questions to see whether you were worthy to date my brother or not. :) I have so many memories of Brooks, but one of my favorites is when I was going on a date, the guy came to pick me up and Brooks was standing outside with his shirt off and a daisy sticking out of his buttcrack!! Gotta love him:) I could go on for days...

We have had a lot of fun memories in this little time of law school. Our hike to the lake where the kids were drowning in the snow and begging us all to carry them. Sledding. Chuck E Cheese. Walking around the mall, while our kids ran ahead. Hanging out while our husbands studied. Our kids bumping chests like foot ball players. I am glad you guys will be back soon. We have a lot of playing to catch up on.

Working nights on Peds. Need I say more. I loved it when you worked with me, cause you actually knew what you were doing. You were so fun to talk to, which made the night pass a lot more quickly. you're the best!
